DESIGN Architecture & Interiors, Kenco Group Inc.
and Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group held an open
house to show off their new office in RiverMill on Riverside
Drive, better known as "the old Quaker Oats building,"
said event spokesperson Rich Bailey.
According
to Mr. Bailey, Kenco Group bought the property from Quaker
Oats in 1996. In 2004, the company renovated a four-story
building that once was used for making grits and pancake
batter, he said. The new office space combines industrial
features, including large steel beams and reinforcement
structures, with bright colors, ample lighting and contemporary
detailing, as well as a four-story atrium.
