TUNE DESIGN Architecture & Interiors, Kenco Group Inc. and Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group held an open house to show off their new office in RiverMill on Riverside Drive, better known as "the old Quaker Oats building," said event spokesperson Rich Bailey.

According to Mr. Bailey, Kenco Group bought the property from Quaker Oats in 1996. In 2004, the company renovated a four-story building that once was used for making grits and pancake batter, he said. The new office space combines industrial features, including large steel beams and reinforcement structures, with bright colors, ample lighting and contemporary detailing, as well as a four-story atrium.

James Kennedy of Kenco Group Inc., Allen Corey of Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant Group and Jane Grant and Brian Tune of Tune Design Architecture & Interiors, celebrate the completion of the three companies' offices in Kenco's RiverMill complex.

Among those attending the opening were Dan Jacobson, John Konvalinka, Wayne Cropp, Linda Bennett, Sally Robinson, Manny Rico, Steve Hunt, Rob Taylor, Rice Williams, Charlie King, Nathalie Strickland, David Cook, Kristie Huntley and Connie Perrin.

"Kenco also took the opportunity to premiere its vision for how the entire 30-acre complex will be converted into a combination of office, housing and retail space. Kenco Group plans to begin construction by the end of the year on the next phase of the 10-year vision," Mr. Bailey said.

Tune Design did the interior design and Artech Design Group did the architectural design, Mr. Bailey said.
